There will be, ultimately, several computational resources for this effort, but here is where we start.
June 6, 2008: We have a modest amount of time on the machines at NCCS. I think that we can get more once we have a better definition of what we need. I have agreed to be an experimental user of the GEOS-5 workflow tool. The idea is that is will allow a user to configure and submit GEOS-5 on the NCCS computers at NASA Goddard. Derek has been using this tool and has been able to submit and run GEOS-5. The tool is not perfect, and I have aspirations that "we" will improve it, specifically, making it a web service. But right now, if you want to get an account on the NCCS machines and exercise the work flow tool, then we should do that.
